a former reporter and newspaper archivist/librarian, now a full-time writer pursuing (on a very slow path) certification. i collect vintage photos, despite never knowing the subjects...but i make up fantastic lives for them and i'm pretty sure they appreciate that.my research interests include new england (especially vermont), scandinavia (especially norway), revolutionary and civil war history, and immigration records.
on top of all that, i love lots and lots of coffee.
